Compositor: Dan Layus / Andy Skib
I'm sitting alone by a window, and the Sun is set
Staring through an open door
I never thought it'd be easy to take to a step
But I don't think I've ever been this scared before
Sometimes I feel I'm just waiting to combust
And I don't know if there's anyone left that I can trust
Should I just wait by the phone?
Or sink like a stone?
Or burn it all to the ground
And build it back again
There's always way out
I'm further from heaven, but I'm closer to earth
I'm finding my way now
I'm taking the long way, no I won't get there first
But, I've got my whole life ahead of me
If I can stop being my own worst enemy
Don't know if it's up or down
But there's always a way out
The last leaves of the season have fallen
And they're lost and they're scattered everywhere
The Sun is slanted across the sky in morning
But, I can feel something electric in the air
Some days I wonder if I've lost the inspiration
Am I just a victim of my own imagination
I'm in a state of denial
But, I wanna stay for a while
From what I remember
This is the happiest I've been
There's always way out
I'm further from heaven, but I'm closer to earth
I'm finding my way now
I'm taking the long way, no I won't get there first
But, I've got my whole life ahead of me
If I can stop being my own worst enemy
Don't know if it's up or down
But there's always a way out
There's always a way out
Yeah, we're down right now, but there's always tomorrow
And I'll take as many days as this world will let me borrow
Whatever was lost will be recovered again
I know most things don't go the way we want em to in the end
We got enough if we got enough for today
As long as I got you with me, then I know I'll be okay
I said there's always, always a way out
I said there's always, always a way out
